Voices That Matter: iPhone Developer's Conference April 24-25
Pearson Education is presenting Voices That Matter: iPhone Developers Conference in Seattle at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center April 24 & 25, 2010.
The conference will cover iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad development. The topics include:
- Designing a killer iPhone UI
- Core animation
- iPhone game programming
- Audio and OpenAL
- Core data for iPhone
- Intro to Objective-C
- Xcode
Additionally, Aaron Hillegass will be giving the opening keynote.
Finally, Xcoders can get a nice discount on the registration fees. Hope to see lots of Xcoders at the conference!

Eastside New Year Agenda
For the New Year, we plan on kicking off a new item. We will have a study group to go over the book “Cocoa Design Patterns”. Each meeting we will assign a chapter of the book for reading and the next meeting one person will lead a discussion about the material. This will go along with presentations and normal meeting talk/free time.
The Agenda for the next meeting on January 28th will be:
1) Presentation on Grand Central Dispatch by Gerard Hickey.
2) Discussion about the first chapter of the book “Cocoa Design Patterns” by Joe Jones.
3) Free/open discussion.

Wrap up of 6/25 Eastside meeting and notes on next meeting
Tonight was a good night. Lots of good discussion. We came up with a presentation schedule for the next few meetings.

There was talk about scheduling a second meeting on the Eastside to handle those who may want a more basic introduction to Cocoa, iPhone, etc. If there is any interest in this, drop me a line and let me know.

New Eastside XCoders meeting location
Thanx to ThinkSpace for providing us with a new location to hold our meetings!
The conference room that we’ll be using is on the first floor outside the main entrance. The parking area is on 83rd Ave NE even though the building address is on 164th Ave NE.
This will start with our next meeting on 5/28.

Eastside XCoders meetings moving to new venue
Eastside XCoders will be moving. For our next meeting we will meet at the Crossroads mall in Bellevue.
