Summer XCoders

What? Yeah, yeah – we’re having meetings!

Tonights meeting, for example, is Chris Parrish going into Quartz Composer and how to develop your own patches for it.

We’re still working the schedule for July and August, but we do have the meetings all set aside. For specifics as they’re happening, please check out the Google calendar link – it’s the definitive source for what’s happening.

March Meetings

Our next meeting is Mar 13th where the indefatigable Brent Simmons will be providing us with a technology tour of NetNewsWire; showing off Core Data and using Garbage Collection.

The second meeting in March is on the 27th and is intended to be the “iPhone SDK” meeting. Can’t really say much more about it, since Apple missed their deadline of “releasing it in February”, but I expect we’ll have something ready for then regardless.

Xcode 3 overview

If you’re interesting in the Xcode 3 overview presentation from Xcoders – it’s now available. If you don’t already have a copy of VoodooPad, get one to view it – you can get the lite version at http://flyingmeat.com/voodoopad/voodoopadlite.html.

We also tried out a new location – Getty Images graciously offered to host us at their facility in Fremont. The room was a little small (we packed it to standing room only – I’m kind of surprised given that I was the one presenting) – we’ll definitely get the resolved if we head there again. In the meantime, I’d love your feedback on the new location if you stopped by.
